March 2025 – Top 10 New Releases on Steam

March continued the wave of success with new high-performing game releases, both in terms of critical reviews and concurrent player numbers. The king of co-op games, Hazelight, led by Josef Fares, released Split Fiction, which generated $77.7 million on Steam in March. The game has made a breakthrough in Asia, particularly in China, where more than 40% of the player base is located.
Schedule I was released at the end of March but still became the second highest-grossing game, earning $33.7 million despite being priced at just $17.99 on Steam during the month. The game had a highly successful demo that went viral, leading to a strong conversion rate from demo players to full-game buyers.
InZOI generated $22.8 million and launched in Early Access in March. The game is published by Krafton and is a life simulation and city builder title, positioning itself as a competitor to The Sims (though we haven’t seen any particular Sims 4 engagement drop thus far).
Other notable releases during the month include Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which grossed $22.5 million on Steam, though it was also available on Ubi+ and consoles. Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced came close at $21.6 million on Steam.
