January 2025 – Top 10 New Releases on Steam

The momentum for Asian publishers appears to be carrying into this year, with two Japanese titles dominating the charts in January.

Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors: Origins lead the way, generating $21.2 million in its debut month as the series’ tenth installment. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which initially launched on PlayStation in February last year, debuted on Steam this January, secured second place with $18.9 million in gross revenue for the month. The game is the second release in the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, which revisits the original game released in 1997. According to our estimates, the game has sold over 3.5 million copies across both PlayStation and Steam.

Assetto Corsa EVO, which launched in Early Access, generating $8.5 million in January. Based on early player feedback, the game appears to have a solid foundation to build upon.

Other notable mentions include Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which originally launched on PlayStation in October 2023 and debuted on Steam in January, grossing $7.4 million, and Hello Kitty Island Adventure, which launched on January 30th, generating $2.1 million in gross revenue on Steam while also topping the Nintendo Top Sellers chart in the U.S.
